In-Class Invention on Accessibility and Context
(Total Time: 15 minutes)
Ask your colleagues the following questions:
-
What is your proposed solution?
-
What parts of your solution are important to the City Council?
What parts are important to others?
-
How will you structure your document to emphasize important
information? How will you use functional redundancy?
-
Will you use headings? What will they be? How will
they be phrased?
-
What will your introduction sound like (tone)?
-
Will you use special tables or graphs to present any information?
-
How will your work incorporate the Four Guidelines for Accessibility?
-
If time allows, draft a short introduction and ask colleagues
to evaluate it based on the above criteria.
Offer suggestions to your colleagues as they answer these
questions and record your own answers. This will be very useful planning.
